Sacraments

Baptism

Baptisms take place on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month following the 12:00 Noon Mass. Parishioners are encouraged to schedule baptisms one month in advance through the Parish Office. Parents must attend a class prior to the baptism of their child. Please contact the Parish Office to make arrangements.

Confirmation

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is done through the Religious Education Office: 703-356-5275.

Marriage

We congratulate you on your engagement and extend best wishes! Since Baptized Catholics are required to marry according to the laws of the Catholic Church, it is essential to contact a priest as soon as the engagement is final. Diocesan regulations require that the couple contact a parish priest at least six (6) months prior to the proposed date of the wedding. Please call the Parish Office to begin making arrangements.

Anointing of the Sick

For those whose illness has placed them in danger or who are approaching death, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is available. Please contact a priest through the Parish Office as soon as possible. A priest will visit the homebound to bring them the Church's Sacraments and likewise arrange for extraordinary ministers to visit in the future. If you call after hours and it is an emergency requiring the Sacrament of the sick immediately, please follow the recorded instructions to contact a priest on the emergency line.

Sacraments may also be received in the Extraordinary Form.
