In 1956 on October 21 St. John Catholic Church became a parish. Here is Bishop Peter L. Ireton setting the cornerstone of the new church. That day is for us a Solemnity.

In 1978 on October 22 Karol Cardinal Wojtyla was inaugurated as the 264th Pope.

Now October the 22nd is the Feast Day (Optional Memorial, to be precise) of Pope Saint John Paul II.

Praise God that He has continued to bless His Church.
