Welcome, Fr. Alphonse Kabore!

Professor at the Grand Séminaire Saint Pierre-Claver de Koumi in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, Father Kabore will be with us July 13 through September 12. Many of you already know Father from his years of residing in the rectory at St. John the Beloved while he was a graduate student.

Welcome, Fr. Pedro Mateo!

Pastor of Parroquia Nuestra Senora de Remedios in Azua, Dominican Republic, he is a priest of the Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana. Padre Mateo will be with us July 22 and 23, preaching all the Masses for the annual Mission Appeal. Father grew up in the village of Pilon, where your fellow St. John parishioners and I are currently repairing the chapel. Pilon is one of many outlying villages within the Parish of San Francisco de Asis in Banica. Those of you who have been paying close attention over the years to the Diocesan Mission in Banica would recognize Father's name. Padre Mateo is the first vocation to come out of the parish in Banica since the Diocese of Arlington assumed pastoral care over twenty five years ago.
