Have you searched for that phrase? I have. I can’t find anything funny.
Glückliche Offenbarung!
I’m German. I know all about not being funny.
This Sunday we celebrate Epiphany although the Solemnity of the Epiphany falls on January 6, even in the new, modern, contemporary, groovy, tango-dancing Vatican calendar. The feast transfers to Sunday in the United States, where we do not typically dance the tango on the birthday of the Roman Pontiff.
¡Feliz Epifanía!
Yes. That is Spanish. They also celebrate Epiphany on the 6th.
In two days time those who speak Italian and Latin will be celebrating the worship of the Christ Child. I, along with some carol-singing St. John Academy students, will be greeting in English the wise and venerable priests who reside in the St. Rose of Lima Priest Retirement Home in Annandale, represented by the Reverend Monsignor Frank Mahler, who will receive our humble delegation bearing hugs, songs and a big fat check for $7000 which we raised at the St. John Academy golf tournament last November to support for Priest Retirement Home. He will give us pizza.
Chúc mừng Epiphany!
That’s mostly Vietnamese, which happens to be spoken in the Villa along with Spanish, English and Scalia.
Also in two days… on Tuesday, January 6, there is a special election in Virginia’s 34th District for the House of Delegates. The winner of the election replaces Barbara Comstock, now in the U.S. House of Representatives. I do not know if either major political party has nominated a seriously pro-life candidate. I might be wrong.
Happy Epiphany!
English is currently the official language in Richmond.
Hey. I have an idea. Maybe we should dance more, serve more pizza and be braver in our moral convictions?! We might find that our celebrations, benefactions and elections go even better!
Gottes Segen!
¡Dios te bendiga!
Thiên Chúa chúc lành cho bạn!
God bless you!
