Welcome Marvin Muhat!

Marvin Muhat

With the Feast Day of the holiest of deacons, St. Francis of Assisi, taking place on October 4 we look forward to two more deacons coming from St. John the Beloved.

Join me in welcoming to the parish Marvin and Ruth Muhat with their daughter Samantha and son Aidan. With a B.A. in Psychology from the University of San Agustin, in Iloilo Coty, Iloilo, Philippines, and an M.B.A. from Webster University, in St. Louis, Missouri, Marvin’s professional career as a Registered Building Service Manager, including many years at Mars Inc., has brought him to The Potomac School and our neighborhood. His several years in formation as a Deacon candidate for the Diocese of Arlington brings him to St. John the Beloved as a man of God just two years away from ordination.

In just one year we hope to be able to celebrate the diaconate ordination of our very own Elder Maldonado in St. Peter’s Basilica. As navigable as the Eternal City is today, it should be even more accommodating of a group pilgrimage in September of 2022. Who wants to go?

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for our deacons!

Rev. Christopher J. Pollard
